Abstract

The vertical jump is a reliable variable for predicting lower body power in explosive force sports, where it seeks to generate control and monitoring of athletes for coaches and physical trainers; in this sense, the inertial devices are considered machines that can observe the explosive force during the execution and/or the training. The objective of this research was to determine the effect of strength training in inertial machines, on Squat Jump, Countermovement Jump, and Abalakov in youth volleyball players, Cartago, Colombia; A quantitative research method was used, of a quasi-experimental design with pre- and post-intervention control in 30 female volleyball players, randomly distributed into two groups (control group: 15 and experimental group: 15 players, respectively). The training program in inertial machines (Experimental Program), managed to have a positive effect in the experimental group, resulting in an increase in vertical jump height versus the control group; However, the difference between groups was not significant; however, it is expected that these results allow sports clubs to take these interventions into account to reorient their training processes.
