Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe the practice of professional specialized translation into non-mother tongues. First, we briefly review the literature on translation into non-mother tongues in professional practice. Then we present our survey-based study and describe the practice of this kind of translation from Spanish into different languages. The results show that this kind of translation is a regular practice, but it is not always practiced with the same frequency or the same language combinations
