Abstract

The two pulpits built at the Temple of San Miguel in the 16th century by Pedro Fer- na?ndez de la Zarza were removed two centuries later; they are nowadays preserved at Jerez Muni- cipal Archaeological Museum. An iconographic analysis for each pulpit is provided, attempting a hypothetical reconstruction of both pieces and their lost images. Once rebuilt, pulpits will be con- textualized within the temple iconic programme, whose common thread is the apocalyptic text, in which San Miguel plays a leading role.
