Frente a los grandes cambios que se avecinan en la enseñanza superior española y europea, la autora describe la situación actual del docente de Traducción e Interpretación en el doble contexto del área de conocimiento y de la universidad española. A continuación, se centra en la cuestión de la formación del profesorado para sus tareas docentes, y termina realizando una serie de propuestas de actuación en este campo tan olvidado de nuestro sistema universitario.
