Abstract

A piece of paper with various Picasso drawings, kept at Picasso Museum in Barcelona and entitled Boy and other sketches, is based on Horta de San Juan and Barcelona in 1898-99. It presents three successive space interpretations which anticipated the search and spatial perception of Cubism. e review of certain aspects in the paintings, drawings and sketches of the period re- veals connections that were otherwise unnoticed, and it approaches the origins of Cubism from new angles.
