Abstract

The objective of this article is to study and make known an inventory of goods of the Capilla de Música of Málaga Cathedral, compiled by its members; between 1808 and 1814. This inventory, previously unpublished, is a crucial source for our knowledge of the musical repertory performed by the Capilla during the “funciones contratadas”, ceremonies not patronized by the Cathedral Chapter, but by other patrons. At the same time, this article of fers an analysis of the repertory listed in the inventory, which is distinct and dif ferent from that of the Cathedral proper.
