Abstract

This article is about a collection of five engraving pictures by José Manuel Cabra de Luna, titled "Voyelles" ("Vowels''). This work wants to pay declared homage to Arthur Rimbaud and the language of alfabets, considering their artistic interpretation created for an specialized kind of public and their didactical projection for another.  If Rimbaud's poem can be acquainted with the coloured letters of school spellers, Cabra de Luna's engravings call up calligraphy of pupils, pointing to interesting didactical possibilities founded on the visual and artistic culture.
