Abstract

Since 1921 to 1940, Tidei Brothers, Augusto and Eolo, revitalized Italian ceramics industry tradition. Between the end of XIX century and the first third of XX, Roman craftsmen had carried on an interesting aesthetic transition applied to design and plastic look of objects from Liberty Style to Art Déco. Tidei Brothers' contribution to Ceramic Art can be estimated also through variety of types, peculiarity of forms, high quality in ornamentation of pieces and spontaneousness and fresh realism in the plastic resolution of human and animal iconography inserted in their works.
