Impatience is one of the traits - symptoms - of the culture of the society of our time, marked by individualism, selfishness, hyperactivity, immediacy, instantaneity, productivity, performance. Impatience is not healthy, but it is cultivated and encouraged. Built from these bases, impatience becomes excluding and stigmatising, contributing to making the different "superfluous bodies" and "human waste" (Bauman, 2005).
