The text begins with the story of Julia, a girl diagnosed with a disability at the age of 11 months. Her family faces great uncertainties and difficult decisions for their well-being, relying on diverse interpersonal networks. As a result, the author reflects on the importance of hope and inclusion, highlighting open dialogue, empathy, trust and social justice as elements to materialize in educational practice.
