This is a book review that is key in the academic and thought trajectory of the author Ángel I. Pérez Gómez. "La cultura escolar en la sociedad neoliberal", published by the prestigious Madrid publishing house Morata in 1998, deals with the school as a crossroads of cultures. The book has great theoretical density, with philosophical, epistemological, historical, anthropological, psychological and pedagogical reflections. The author of the review narrates the events that made this text become a leading book for reflection and questioning of pedagogy.
